One of the best screenplays of the ‘90s, this dark comedy follows Martin Blank (John Cusack) who manages to charm us as a prickly hitman that returns to his hometown to address some unfinished business and to unpack some lingering emotional baggage. He falls back in with a beguiling Debi (Minnie Driver), who he stood up on prom night – and we’re treated with unforgettable appearances by Dan Aykroyd, Jeremy Piven, Alan Arkin, and Joan Cusack — as well as one of our absolute faves at Boondocks HQ, Carlos Jacott!
