DCSC: Melodies of a Treehouse

  • Down County Social Club Race Brook Lodge Sheffield United States (map)

Join Tarcisio (Taz) Ramos for a unique musical journey in the heart of the Berkshires. Taz will explore improvisation on the Handpan drum and the Brazilian berimbau, sharing original songs in both Portuguese and English. He’ll also weave in his favorite American folk tunes, reflecting his life living in a treehouse and in the Berkshires.

Taz is a multifaceted individual: musician, homesteader, and survivalist living in Becket, MA. Musically, he’s a member of Berkshire Bateria, founder of Quarteto de Samba, and a music educator promoting musical diversity in colleges and schools across western Massachusetts. As a homesteader, he homesteads with friends in Becket, striving for self-sufficiency and keeping his thumb green all year around.

His survivalist side was showcased on the latest season of the History Channel’s “Alone,” where he put his bushcraft creativity and hunting skills to the test.

Melodies of a Treehouse is an amalgamation his life experiences and an exploration Taz’s musicality through words, rhythm and above all melodies.
