We are chuffed to bits to announce the co-billing of SLOW PONY and ZOÉ BASHA. Two contemporary musical minds that work to reconcile with the hand-made traditions of years ago. From the anarchist Tangoing manouche of Pony's Waits-ian croons to the grief tinged genre blending of Basha's keens that stretch linguistically from Gaelic to the florid lenga d'oc of southern France. A bohemian carnival that you don't want to miss.

From deep sea/outer space, wandering the desert, currently stationed near Brattleboro, Slow Pony is led by Eli Dworkin, a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who has wandered the globe in search of that delicious sound and had the fortune of converging with many great musicians along the way. Over the years Eli has served as accompanist for Hot Damn Scandal, Profane Sass, Maray Fuego, Mama's Broke, Sexy Flail Family Band, the Railyard Ghosts, The Homeless People, and many others, while also pursuing and performing his own coercive compositions.
With SLOW PONY Eli creates Polk funk/death jazz out of Brattleboro Vt. - An accordion-centric polk-funk musical collective, playing soulful yet creepy original material inspired by their studies of intense folk music: drawing upon traditions of balkan, blues, tango, cumbia, jazz manouche, and more, Slow Pony is on a mission to make you dance, laugh, and cry with a heaping side of chaos.
Recipient 2024 VT Arts Council Development Grant and also Creation Grant for upcoming works with the Hammond Organ and accordion!" Follow Slow Pony on Instagram.
