In 2021, Tambacum claimed the coveted first place at the Traditional and Campesino Music Festival, cementing their status as cultural ambassadors of Nuquí. Their involvement in events such as the Flecho Festival, Aguacero Festival, Cumbancha Festival and their role as organizers of the Tamborito Festival underscore their unwavering commitment to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of their beloved hometown.
Tambacum's influence extends far beyond the borders of Nuquí. Tambacum has toured across Colombia visiting major cities of Medellín, Bogotá and Quibdo. In June 2022, the group represented their community with pride at Documenta 15 in Kassel, Germany, alongside nonprofit organization, Más Arte Más Acción. This global platform allowed them to engage with artists from diverse backgrounds, fostering cultural exchange and collaboration on an international scale.
In yet another testament to their artistic prowess, Tambacum has been selected as LiberArte's Artist in Residence for the prestigious 2023-2024 term.
